Day 1: A whole new kind of freedom

On Tuesday February 2nd, I did something I’ve never done before. I resigned from my job as a high school teacher and embarked on a very unfamiliar yet necessary journey.

I hope to dissect all of the layers of what made this decision so necessary; I can never explain it quite clearly or thoroughly enough to anyone who asks and I have to analyze that to mean that I don’t completely understand it yet myself.

Then again, diluting and simplifying the most difficult decision of my adult life into a pitch statement may not be right, either.

I don’t intend to turn this experience into an Eat, Pray, Love novel. But my hope is to rediscover some things about myself that have gotten a bit lost and to make sense of how to hold onto those things moving forward.

  1. You are amazing! Everything happens for a reason and I truly think you made the right decision. Not many people have the courage to re-discover themselves and I give you a lot of credit for having the strength to do that. I cannot wait to see where the road will lead you next!
